We all know 2020 was a hard year. But for our team at Mudyala Aboriginal Corporation, 2020 was also one filled with excitement.
During 2020, our team of staff and volunteers were finally able to kick off our Rising Warrior program. The Rising Warriors program to assist the Bundjalung Baygal Warriors RLFC is operated by Mudyala Aboriginal Corporation with the support of the South Sydney Rabbitohs.
The aim of the Rising Warriors program is to helps young boys stay physically and mentally healthy and fulfilled by using Rugby League to connect with them. This new program is designed to be flexible so that it can help our youth heal in their own way.
In 2020 we held our first Boot Auction to raise funds for the ongoing management of the Rising Warrior Program. See our promotional video below where our mates at the South City Rabbitohs receive their deadly painted boots to wear in the NRL Indigenous Round 2020, and the importance of their connection to supporting the program.
