Mudyala Aboriginal Corporation had an exciting opportunity to partner with Yaegl artist Frances Belle Parker and the talented Maclean Public School student to create a Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) artwork for the Bennelong Foundation.
The event took place during Reconciliation Week and encouraged the students to talk about what reconciliation means and what role a RAP plays within businesses. This process also allowed us to explore cultural art and intellectual property rights of culture, and why it was important for us consult with community members.
The artwork will be finalised in the coming weeks and will include an aspect of each students work.
