Huge thank you to Maclean Public School – MPS for allowing us to partner with you to host the first ever Yaygirr Language Day event.
This year is quite special. It is the first ever Aboriginal Languages Week in NSW put forward by the Aboriginal Languages Trust, who also funded our event!
Thank you to all schools that were invited and participated
The activities included a Yaegl Elders film, Simon says in Yaygirr, Yaygirr birds nest (steal the eggs), Elders stories, and performances by all stages in Yaygirr
